http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1281161

Retailers are heading to Nintendo Europe in Germany for undisclosed reason.#1
Still not 100% confirmed yet, we first saw it in a gaf thread

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost...postcount=1362

Same gaf member claimed said all people going signed NDA's

Then this off twitter guy (who is apparently reliable)

https://twitter.com/nintex_nl/status/777981636122185728

got 3 different sources to confirm that retailers are heading off to Nintendo Europe in Germany for an announcement within days.

Not necessarily NX mind.

I prove NX. I see what the device is like. No pictures because nintendo put PIC security stickers on phones if you work on or near. Metel detectors. Full works security.

  • Is a mobile NES thru GCN emulator and home full console with dock.

  • Won't play 3DS games.

  • Virtual console games will rollout at same rate you see now.

  • PokemonGO is a launch title.

  • Miitomo is launch app.

  • Monthy subscription service like ps+ gives you free game library but is also low dataplan on SoftBank in Japan, T-mobile network in USA.

  • Will have own app store marketed like google play or itunes but for games. They think this is an innovation that hasn't been thought of yet.

  • Can buy higher GB/month for your NX.

  • NX will ride your nostalgia penis for your wallet to wellness.

  • No system to system communication app.

  • Reveal is on friday with new Direct format, which is an app that hosts a video player, and some screens about the content they talk about.

  • Direct will be 'enhanced' on NX app with direct links to new demos and sometimes to buy games that launch with Directs about them.

I don't care if you screenshot this because I'm going to along with the archive link to prove that this is a real leak.

Pic is what it looks like, except not. Design will be purple and grey colored, and kind of remind you of an N64 with the button layout.

See ya pals.

  • Metroid is being given the Halo treatment with co-op campaigns and some online multiplayer.

  • Smash 4 'HD' port with some new dlc

  • Pikmin 4 with 4 player coop.

  • Mario Kart 9. Has a 'free-roam' style hub world and 'career' mode.

  • Splatoon 2 with a codename 'beluga' is in early development.

These aren't launch titles but will be out ~6-18 months after. I'm under the impression Metroid will be delayed.

  • Starfox remaster is launch title. Discounted if you own original as a digital version.

  • Possible Final Fantasy spinoff coming, still in talks with SquareEnix about this.

-One of their aims is to have a new game out every 3 to 4 months in a steady stream in a somewhat predictable manner.

I've not heard anything about any new IPs unfortunately.

-BotW will have an option for small local or online multiplayer groups

-Nintendo will release wireless controllers based off past console controllers for NX. Launches with a wireless gamecube controller

-Updates on some of the more popular wii u titles.

-Mario maker is actually getting slopes, shyguys, bookmark updates, and the option to play as luigi if you have super luigi u save data or unlock all the amiibo costumes except the super expert exclusive costumes

Splatoon is getting a small update that lets you play on the splatfest version of maps

-Smash Bros wii u and 3ds both get a free fountain of dreams stage added with an update that also includes character balances.

They also plan on releasing some pokemon game for wii u. Its early in development but it looks kind of like mystery dungeon but with a battle system like the main games

-Mother 4 will be announced as a e-shop only download game within the next 6 months or so. No further info on development itself, but can confirm it will be announced.

-Another port of minecraft will be an e-shop launch title

-There is going to be another 3d mario game close in style to galaxy or sunshine as a launch title

-You will be able to connect your 3ds and use it as a controller for games that support it

-There is a console wario ware in development that may or may not see a 3ds release as well. It will be on the the NX for sure within the first year of release

WEW! The 4chan thread got big and that guy forgot to take his medicine. Well... Enjoy!

NX rumours have been floating around the internet for months now. However, one independent developer has admitted to knowing more details about the upcoming console. While not giving any specifics, Stephen Dinehart tweeted about he had recently signed a non-disclosure agreement with Nintendo. The interesting part is that he used the hashtag “NintendoNX” at the end of the tweet. It looks like Nintendo is allowing indie developers to see their mystery console.  This maybe a sign that the NX’s reveal is coming sooner rather than later.

So as to add another cog in the hype machine, there is a hefty server maintenance planned for Tuesday that'll last 8 hours!!https://www.nintendo.com/consumer/network/en_na/network_status.jsp Everything keeps pointing to a reveal this week, plus everyone seems to have this "gut" feeling... not that that matters, but I feel It'll be this week for sure.

Rumor del 21 settembre.

Spoiler

Norwegian gaming site PressFire.no has investigated the rumors from this thread, and are reporting that they are indeed true.

[...] This is basically just rumors, but PressFire has confirmed through our own channels that this is correct, and that the GameStop store managers traveling down have signed NDAs for Nintendo.

The meeting in Denmark is a part of a larger GameStop event, where publishers show upcoming games and products.

The Nintendo showcase is to take place this week, and possibly already tomorrow. If it has something to do NX is however uncertain as we have not managed to find out the specific activities [at the event].

Spoiler

Ubisoft has a history of strong support for Nintendo systems, and it was one of the few third parties to have an original, exclusive game at launch for Wii U in ZombiU. CEO Yves Guillemot has now spoken about that support and shared some thoughts on Nintendo's upcoming NX.

During a Ubisoft presentation attended by GameSpot today, Guillemot discussed disruptions in the hardware business, of which there are many right now: new Xbox One and PS4 systems, NX, and VR.

Regarding NX, he said, "The new Nintendo [console] is a fantastic machine. It's really a new approach, it's really Nintendo, [which is] coming with something new again. We love it." The system is rumored to be a handheld/console hybrid, a possibility that The Pokemon Company recently lent credence to.

As for disruptions overall, Guillemot suggested Ubisoft doesn't mind them because they provide it with the chance to try something new.

We always take disruptions on the positive side," he said. "We think each time that it's an opportunity for our creators to take more risks. When a machine is installed, there are a certain number of brands that take up the time of players, so they're going to buy the next Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty. Even if they say, 'I'm interested in what you're doing,' at the end of the day they first buy what they know, then go somewhere else.

When they change machines, they consider that it is better to try what has been done for that machine. This gives us an opportunity to totally change an IP that we have done before, or to create new experiences and new IPs.

3132885-z.jpg

On the VR side it's giving us an opportunity to create new experiences that are in the middle of movies and interactive," he continued. "It's being immersed in a universe where you have interactive experiences but also be able to be passive and look at a story or a world. It's lots of new possibilities. In the company we are all interested in doing new things, because that's where we can express ourselves differently and also where we can have fun discovering things you couldn't do before."

We spoke with Guillemot after the event, and he expressed concern with the agility and ability to take risks it would lose if Vivendi's hostile takeover moves forward. A game like ZombiU--an original game for the unproven Wii U--seems like a prime example of the kind of thing it was only able to do because it was an independent company. We already know Just Dance is coming to NX, and Guillemot confirmed to GameSpot that Ubisoft is "working on some [other] projects" for the console.

Asked to elaborate on why Ubisoft has such faith in Nintendo, he reiterated what he said earlier about the effect new systems have on consumers.

What we see is, players are more open when new hardware is coming. So we have the chance to come with something we have never done before, because we know that if we are the first there, people will try our game and maybe we'll be able to get into that new genre," he explained. "As our people wanted to do a game like ZombiU, they were happy they could just use the Wii U to do it. For us, a machine is a tool of expression, but when everything become stable it's less open to innovation. We always want innovation.

"However, if you try something a little new and it's not perfect, you come back quickly to what you know and works. As a gamer, if you change to new hardware, you have no references, so you're looking at what people are saying are [the best games] and then trying them.

But if you have an [established] machine and there's all the experiences you know on there already, you know you're going to miss some of those to try something new, so you're less inclined. For us, we know opportunities to try something new are a lot more rewarding when it's a new machine.

Rumor.

Spoiler

The rumored March release for Nintendo's NX is drawing ever closer, yet solid information on the console is still fairly thin on the ground.

Fortunately Ubisoft's CEO, Yves Guillemot, has shared his thoughts on the machine, giving those desperately waiting for news something to feel excited about.

According to Gamespot, during a recent Ubisoft presentation Guillemot called the NX "a fantastic machine."

A chance to be creative

As far as giving any hints as to what the console will be like Guillemot didn't reveal much other than that "It's really a new approach, it's really Nintendo, [which is] coming with something new again" and that Ubisoft "love it."

What will be really interesting is seeing what Ubisoft decide to do with this new hardware. When the Wii U was released, Ubisoft were one of the few third-party developers to get behind Nintendo's console at launch, releasing ZombiU.

Guillemot said this is because as a developer Ubisoft enjoys disruptions in the hardware business, using them to "take more risks."

When Gamespot asked what Ubisoft was developing for the NX specifically, he revealed that the company is working on "some [other] projects" aside from the already revealed Just Dance title.

By developing games especially for this new hardware Guillemot said that Ubisoft would be able to "come up with something we have never done before because we know that if we are the first there, people will try our game and maybe we'll be able to get into that new genre."

The NX must be offering something innovative to make Ubisoft take their foot off the pedal of the Assassin's Creed franchise. Hopefully more third party developers feel the same way about the console to give it the strong software lineup it'll need.

Something also interesting to note is that whilst Guillemot was very positive about taking risks with new hardware, he added "if you try something a little new and it's not perfect, you come back quickly to what you know and works." Whether this means trying new genres or developing for the NX console altogether is unclear but will certainly be interesting to find out which.

Spoiler

Ubisoft has been quiet open about Nintendo’s forthcoming NX platform in recent days. IGN caught up with Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot at a company event yesterday to quiz him about the Nintendo NX and see what he thought of the platform. He says the thing to take away is that Nintendo has learnt plenty of lessons from the Wii U and the Nintendo NX is a platform that should appeal to everyone.

“I think, once again, the interface is very attractive. It’s a machine that will be easy to use for all gamers. They have built in something that will give us chance to really have a different experience from what exists today. That’s what I like – that they come with something new that is adapted to what we actually want now."

“It’s difficult to answer that [before NX is revealed]. What we see is that Nintendo has learned from the Wii U. All publishers learn from what they do, and then come with something new and more attractive, which I think is the case here.”

Nintendo NX – Nuovo brevetto The present invention implements a projection system which appropriately corrects geometric distortion of a projected image even when an object to be projected has an arbitrary three-dimensional shape and a user’s point of view is not fixed. A projection unit (3) of a projector device 100 projects a first adjustment test image. A three-dimensional shape measurement unit (4) measures a three-dimensional shape of the object to be projected. An image capturing device (200) captures the first adjustment test image projected by the projection unit (3), and acquires a first adjustment captured image. A projected image adjustment unit (1) executes: (1) first adjustment processing for, on the basis of the first adjustment captured image acquired by the image capturing device (200), correcting the image such that geometric image distortion is reduced at an image capturing point at which the first adjustment captured image was captured; and (2) second adjustment processing for, on the basis of a state when the image adjusted by the first adjustment processing was projected by the projection unit (3), correcting the image such that geometric image distortion is reduced.
